Dear alumnus,

I am very pleased to welcome you here at the HAn Korea alumni website. HAn Korea stands for Holland Alumni network Korea and it serve as a platform to provide the means and opportunities for its members and partners to improve their communication and to share their social and professional interests.

HAn Korea is officially launched in November 2009 in Seoul with the support of Nuffic Neso Korea and the Dutch embassy in Seoul. This marked the starting point for a long term establishment of a network of all those who once has studied at a Dutch university.

I am honored and grateful to be chosen the chairman of HAn Korea by the alumni. I myself was once a student at the Free University of Amsterdam in the eighties, where I completed a PhD study in philosophy. I still keep good memories of my student life in the Netherlands.

I sincerely hope that HAn Korea is the platform where new contacts are made, where people can connect with the Dutch community, where people can increase their job opportunities through this network and ultimately improve Korean-Dutch relations.

However, HAn Korea’s existence depends on its members. HAN Korea is managed by alumni and is meant for alumni. Therefore, your membership is highly appreciated and your idea’s to keep HAN Korea a lively, strong network is most welcome.
